What is a Darkness Retreat?

A darkness retreat is the intentional practice of spending several days in complete darkness, free from the distractions and constant stimulation of the outside world. Without light to orient us outward, our attention naturally begins to turn inward.

When entered with intention, darkness has the potential to unveil the truest expressions of who we are. Perhaps the oldest school of mystery, it has long been revered across cultures as a place of deep contemplation, insight, and transformation.

A darkness retreat creates the conditions for a direct relationship with ourselves, allowing us to meet our inner landscape with unusual honesty. It invites us beyond our familiar stories to deconstruct who we believe ourselves to be, making space for something more authentic to emerge.
